New Beginnings began as a dream to offer people a safe to begin their journey toward a sober and clean lifestyle in Colorado Springs, CO.
For many years, the General Manager, Joe Monaco, had been offering such a place for recovering alcohholics and drug addicts in his private home.
The operations manager, Jan Neville, spent the first eleven months of her recovery in a sober living home, where learned the value of this type of resouce.
When the demand became too much for Mr. Monaco to Handle at his home, a plan was implemented to take the concept to a higher level. Thus New Beginnings became a formal business in January 2007. When a resident house manager was hired and the first male resident came thorough the door.
None profit status was obtained by New Beginnings in 2011. Under his non-profit structure , the unique program of support, life skills training and peer mentoring continues to create not only a sober living home, but also an environment that helps recovering alcoholics and addicts successfully transition back into society.
